Prom makeup ideas with Younique!

Prom time is here!!  Younqiue has a wide variety of makeup to help you look your best on this special night.  I remember when I went to my prom, don't ask me how long ago that was...lol.  But I wanted everything to match my gown, including my accessories, down to my makeup for my eyes.  

But sometimes choosing eye color to match your gown may not be good thing, you might want to consider using colors that complements your eye color instead.  

Stiff Upper Lip, Lip Stains

Younique launched new products the first of March and they brought us Lip Stains. They introduced us to Lip Stain back in November as a Kudos and once I tried it I immediately loved the product. These stains last 8 to 10 hours without reapplying. They dry into a matte finish and they come in 7 hot colors. 

Younique’s lip stain is really simple to use. Here are some tips if you have really dry or chapped lips, use a toothbrush to exfoliate your lips first. This will get your lips to be as smooth as possible (with no flaky lips) so that the lip stain isn’t splotchy when applied.

If you want to apply another coat of lip stain, wait for the lip stain to dry completely before doing so. I sometimes use a pressed powder like Younique's Touch Mineral Foundation to apply a small dusting over your lips before applying a second or even a third coat of the lip stain.

Make sure that you apply the lip stain on your bare lips. You don’t want any gloss or chap stick residue on your lips before applying the lip stain. It won’t go on even and it won’t look good.

To remove the lip stain, simply use a chap stick or petroleum jelly.  I have found ideally the Younique's Shine Makeup remover cloths works ideally to remove the stains.

What is my why for joining Younique as a presenter?

When I married my husband back in 2000, we both was starting all over.  As in marriage and combining our family together.  We have struggled from paying our child support every month and raising the children that was in our home and paying the necessary things we needed to survive.  For years I tried different avenues to making extra money from making things and selling them.  To going into direct sales companies that really never worked out for us.  I wanted to try and provide financially freedom from struggling from check to check.  My husband it seemed he worked 24/7 trying to provide for us.  He always has put his family first and has provided for us.  At times it got so bad I remember eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for dinner, because we couldn't afford anything else.  

I had tried DS before but gave it up when I was in an accident, broke my shoulder and knocked my shoulder out of place.  I wasn't able to lift and couldn't carry all the products to parties anymore that the DS company I was with, required there representatives to carry with them. I had to ask other family members or friends to help me go to the parties with me and I paid them with either cash or by product.  Basically I felt like I was giving my profit away and not going anywhere.  So I decided to get out of the DS Company I was with.  For a few years I didn't do anything extra.  Some of our children grew up and started their own families.  We wasn't struggling as much as before.  But in the back of my mind, I would love to still have the financial freedom so my husband didn't still have to work 24/7.  I wanted him to be around when we could retire and enjoy the last days we have together and grow older together.  That is my why!   

Along come Younique,  I tried the mascara and I was hooked, on the cosmetics. I wanted to find out more about Younique so I did my research.  I really hadn't seen a compensation plan quite like the one Younique had but after doing my research and watching tons of YouTube videos, then several days of studying to really find out how the compensation plan worked, I signed up as a presenter.

Since I started with Younique my down line has grown and keeps on growing.  I have never been in a DS company before that I have grown so big in just a short time, I want to keep going.  My down line, my team is what keeps me motivated to keep on going. I love helping and showing them ways to become successful as well and love everyone one on my team and want them to succeed, along with me.  I have never been in a Direct Sales company quite like Younique.  They are so supportive to each person and always willing to help in any way possible.  The products alone speak for their self.  Once you try the cosmetics you will hopefully feel the same way I do!

Here are some tips I use with the rose water:

Marilyn’s tip #1 I have problems with puffiness under my eyes so I use a cotton ball and spray the cotton ball down.  Then I will take a zip lock bag and stick it in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to an hour.  I would then place the cotton ball under my eyes for about 15 to 20 minutes.  This helps reduce the puffiness under my eyes.

Marilyn’s Tip #2 I use Rose water as a toner.  I will sprits my face with the water after cleansing my face and let dry before applying moisturizer.  This helps to preventing wrinkles and slows down the aging process, tightens your pours and gives you a health glow.

Marilyn’s tip #3 Hate the razor burn feeling after shaving your legs?  I use the rose water after shaving to sooth my skin and it helps prevent that irritation.

Marilyn’s tip #4 I use it as a finishing spray as well.  After applying my makeup I will spray lightly over my face to set my makeup.  It will give you a dewy finish.

Marilyn’s tip #5 Mix with Moodstruck Minerals Pigment Powders for a creamy application or mixing to make your own eyeliner or even for your eyebrow liner.

Simple Eyeliner Tricks

1. Make your eye makeup last longer by setting your eyeliner with a matching eye shadow.

2. Use a pencil liner as a guide for tricky liquid liners.

3. Make a less pigmented eye shadow more vibrant by covering your eyelid with a white eyeliner first. i use Pristine which is our white eyeliner.

4. Create your own custom eyeliner with a wet liner brush and eye-shadow.

Use Younique eyepigments for eyeliner and for brows.

5. If you have monolids, use a gel or liquid liner and draw a thick arch to create the perfect line.

6. Use white eyeliner as a brow highlighter for an instant eye lift.
7. If getting a perfect line is too challenging, draw a rough line first, and then sharpen it with a cotton swab and petroleum jelly.
8. For a really natural look, tight line with your liner by applying it in between the lashes instead of across the top of the lash line.
9. Simplify drawing a straight line by lining your eyes with dots first, and then connecting them.
10. Create an eye-opening ombré effect by fading a lighter color into a darker eyeliner.
11. Use the edges and curves of a spoon to master the perfect cat-eye shape.
12. If your eyeliner is crumbly, freeze it for 10 minutes before lining your eyes.
13. Line your waterline with white liner to make your eyes appear bigger.
14. For a more precise angle of your winged liner, draw the flick toward your eye instead of away from it.
15. In a fix and you ran out of eyeliner? Use 3D Fiber lash mascara as eyeliner with a liner brush.

16. Use brown eyeliner, Instead of black.  Brown works with all eye colors and is less harsh.

17. You have blue eyes or even brown.  Try using purple eyeliner as this will make your eyes pop and draw attention to them.

Tutorial how to conceal the dark circles under your eyes.

I have seen and heard about using "Red Lip stick under your eyes to conceal the blueness or darkness under your eyes.  Younique Lip liners are smudge proof and waterproof so I did a short video to put them to the test.

The reason this works is because the red tones across from the color wheel is blues which means the neutralize each other.  I really was shocked when I tried it in the video, but it works.

Younique Products announced not long ago that they will be having new products come available March 1st.   I am really excited about them!!

First product: back in November they had a kudos (A November to Remember)for Stiff Upper Lip, lip stain.  They will be bringing that to us in 7 shades.  If you have never used lip stain before this is long wearing that drys into a matte finish.

Second product: I'm really excited about trying, just in time for the warmer weather. Which is Beach Front Bronzer which will be in three shades.  Will give you a beautiful, sun kissed glow. Bronzers is an easy way to enhance color and provide a shimmer to your skin tone.
